Production for "Nothin' but Music" just keeps rolling along. The Vision 561 team had the pleasure of sitting down this week with Detroit blues rock singer-songwriter/producer/keyboardist Eliza Neals. Ms. Neals discussed a number of topics derived from her considerable experience as a dynamic performer and award-winning artist. You're gonna enjoy her music and personal insight in this film coming your way very soon!

Hello Fellow Film and Music Fans,
We want to take this time to welcome one of the newest additions to our film "Nothin' but Music"-- The "Detroit Diva" Eliza Neals! We had the pleasure of recently catching a set of her soulful blues rock at P.J.'s Lager House in Detroit. She had the wall to wall crowd jumping, aided by one of the feature artists in our film Howard Glazer, along with her band The Narcotics. We got some great footage capturing Neals delivering many new original songs from her new chart-topping album "Breaking and Entering." An interview segment with her is forthcoming as we prepare to enter the home stretch . We also want to take this time to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year and look for big things from us in 2016! Best, Eric & Lisa

Greetings Music and Film Fans, I'd like to chime in this week on another aspect of our film and that's the concept of what we call "laid back tenacity." Essentially it is that innate ability to maintain one's craft at a very high level and do it with a relaxed, yet tenacious determination. That has been the work ethic and trademark of many of the star musicians who appear in our film. Howard Glazer and Benny Speer, in particular, exemplify these qualities and that is why they are in our movie. See for yourself when the film has its release in 2016! Thanks for reading and all the best!

Greetings, This is the first of many weekly blogs we will be posting leading up to the release of the Vision 561 Productions documentary "Nothin' but Music." The focus of our film is about musicians that do music full-time, without a net, so to speak. And one of many questions we address in the film is "how do musicians keep it fresh." When you've been playing music for a living as long as Benny Speer and Howard Glazer, for example, that's a question that becomes almost second nature. They are the prime subjects of our film for a reason. Each has been performing their craft for decades since their teens and remained true to their artistic convictions over time. Keeping the music fresh is all about maintaining an innovative perspective and career focus; for one that means embracing multiple musical metamorphoses and for another it means doing the same thing but embracing new ways to promote it. We'll let you the viewer be the judge who's who when you watch the film. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more very soon.

I know it's been a while since we last posted anything on our film "Nothin' but Music" but rest assured we are still actively doing production on it. Sometimes life gets in the way--as it were--but life goes on as well! Anyways, much of the footage has been shot for our feature and the editing process has been in full swing. Along with that is the script and, as one of the principle writers, that is where I needed some assistance. When you have several hours of footage ( interviews, live performances, etc.) you need to assemble it in the form of a strong narrative. I have been attending workshops/classes with Robert Palmer and studying his innovative creative techniques at Raven Writing Studios Ink in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Through his supportive teaching methods I am making real headway on putting together a tight script for our film. Palmer is a Detroit area native and has been teaching his progressive self-motivational curriculum for over 20 years. Watch for more updates coming a bit more frequently as we ramp up production on this project. Take care and thank you for your support. It's gonna be a great film!

Greetings and Salutations,
We sat down with the one and only Stirling for a recent chat at his ultra cool downtown Detroit pad. He's a true original who's done it all as artist, venue owner/manager, record store owner/retailer,booking agent and artist manager. And he's a helluva nice guy to boot! He offers some fascinating and real world perspectives on the balance of art and commerce. Believe me, it's gonna make your head spin! And we'll have it all for you in our upcoming film "Nothin' but Music." Thanks for being there friends and stay tuned!
Cheers!--Eric & Lisa, NbM
